dawson kiln sitter part source??

I need the metal holder that goes in the end of the Dawson Kiln Sitter.
It is the one that the cones rest on inside the kiln under the actuator
lever. Any help in locating one or two would be great. Or suggestions
on what could be used/fabricated in place of the 'real thing' would be
appreciated as well.

Thanks

Bill,
Call Bailey at 1-800-431-6067. They have the parts in their catalogue. I
think Bennets carries them as well although I can't find their catalogue at
this time.

Hi Bill,

A.R.T. (ceramic supply co. now in Wisconsin) sells all of the Dawson kiln
sitter parts - or at least they used to. My catalog from them has two full
pages of exploded diagrams of the Dawson sitters (model LT-3 and LT3K) with
all the parts labeled for easy ordering. For doing work on your sitter, the
diagrams are a great asset as well. Their toll-free number is (800)
323-0212. Believe this info is all still current - my catalog is now
several years old.

I see a recent Ceramics Monthly ad gives their web address as
www.clayart.com, which I've just now gone to, but can't tell from it if they
still sell all the Dawson parts separately.
[usual disclaimer: I have no connection with this co.]

Dummy me... and I am supposed to be a 'web head' and totally did not
think that so small of an item would be listed. MUCH LESS look at the
Dawson site -- WHICH I have in my bookmarks!! All I can say is thanks!!
and Duh!! Who Me..??

Thanks, Folks

Bill
