waste oil firing

You must be oh so careful with your drip in the realm of oil fire.
My experience years back was to get the kiln to about cone 5 and then
turn on the "drip" oil system. Had to be very cautious when introducing
the oil to the hot hot kiln. Once went from what I though must have
been about cone 8 to who knows how high in the matter of just a few
minutes. The cones in the kiln 9-10-11 all just fell down at nearly the
same time! Fun, but a little radical for even a pyromaniac like myself.
So, be very careful.

Happy firing!

My friend does not use the drip burnner system but uses a forced air system
using a vacume cleaner motor for his air supply. It does supply a lot of
B.T.U..'s . Hot and fast!!!
