cookbook alert- weekday packers needed

updated sun 16 dec 01

Sorry folks, the cookbooks are not ready yet. They are supposed to be =
delivered on Monday. =20
If you can make it out on Tuesday or Wednesday to help pack cookbooks, =
PLMK. This elf will be packing cookbooks even if you can't make it, but =
there's no way in hell that most of the books will reach their =
destinations by Christmas. =20

Apparently, the person I was dealing with at the printer had an =
incorrect concept of how long it would take to collate and bind the =
cookbook. :( They were originally promised 12/7, but they had to be =
hand-collated because of the tabs and color pages scattered through the =
book, and then they had to be sent outside to be wirebound. :( So, =
that's where we stand.

LP,
I do not need the cookbook by Christmas. I hope others that do not care when
they get it let you know. Perhaps this will take a bit of pressure off your
elf duties.

Lisa, you have taken on an unenviable chore. Anyone who
whines because their books don't arrive by Christmas has an
extraordinary nerve. In addition, books that ARE intended for
Christmas will be the more enjoyed for being late arrivals.
Personally, I love late Christmas presents and un-birthday gifts.
Extends the holiday, eh? Nice little surprises are always
welcome. Never known anyone to complain "What? A present?
It's not my birthday or Christmas. I don't want it".

Thanks for all your work. Merry Christmas, and blessings
on you for doing this.

Lisa
No complaints from me either. I'm just grateful you did all that work. It
will be a pleasure to give (and have) whenever it arrives.
