We are fortunate to have a selection of diamond accessories that are of
great help in many occasions.

We use diamond drills and burrs for unplugging holes, dressing the
infrequent glaze drips, and other small tasks. These are available in
different shaft diameters to fit the collets of Dremel tools as well as
larger pneumatic ones. Again, these are somewhat of an investment but can
mean the difference between a second quality item and a first. Used with
plenty of water, they do a very nice job and can leave a nicely dressed
surface.

Diamond wheels come in larger shaft diameters and have the diamond materials
imbedded in a composite of some sort. We use these mostly in our pneumatic
powered devices for perfect fitting lids and such. Again, costly, but
sometimes a necessity. Used with copious amounts of water, they leave a very
nice dressed edge. Some of the best ones we have used are manufactured by
Norton.

We also fit some of our lids with a mixture of silicon carbide and water
brushed onto the lid/body galley and hand grind them together. After rinsing
and drying, it makes a beautiful smooth surface without the "clay noise".

Diamond materials are available from McMaster Carr Supply or MSC.
