I can understand his love .. It is a great work horse
... :)

When I first got mine it sounded horrid!! Grr-ed
skipped and made all sorts of funny noises.. the only
reason it was given up was because the previous owner
told me it was broken.. (most of the good stuff I own
was tossed because it was "broken") Anyway... Bearing-
are you sure about this ?? I mean did you take the
motor apart and actually see wear?? Like I said mine
made retched noises... and jerked.. What I did was
take the front and bottom oil pan screw off, drain all
the oil recap and add new.. run it for five minneutes
and then drain again... and refill with the front
screw off, bottom screw on, when it started coming out
the front screw I stoped adding and waited a minn or
two and put the front screw in with the little hole at
the top.. Purred like a kitten.. My car mechanic told
me to use gear oil NOT car oil .. it is heavier.. You
can buy it at track auto (if you have one there I am
assuming you are out of the states now) .. As for
leaking oil if it is from the front oil plug mine does
that all the time that's what seconds are for, stick
that bowl that has the awful glaze or the chip or what
ever under there... I think mine leaks from the little
hole on the front plug after it has been used for a
long time .. I suppose the oil gets whipped up.. When
I look right after I finish a long throw a thon the
new oil is white, like whipped, when I get back it has
setteled and is brown..

I also change the oil when I change my car oil.... It
just seems logical and when I dont it starts skipping
or jerking... Extremly challenging to throw with but
probably not good for the machine...

As I understand any pedal will not do... I was told by
the previous owner that a brent pedal will work on it
but it needs to be modifyed to work properly .. What
ever that means.. Fourtunately I was given a working
spare so I dont have to figure that out ... I also had
quite a converstaion with Paul Soldner when I first
saw his wheel that he made and the pedal looked
similar and was attached in the same way ... We came
to the conclusion that the pedal for his wheels should
work... Again I never tried it ..

Good grief if anyone knows that SOMEONE PLEASE tell ME

work right if nothing else for parts just incase!!

And I would like to add if anyone sends this to my
college english teacher I will, just I WILL!!! :)

I purchased a used Walker pugmill awhile back in what appeared to be
mint condition. I realized later that it had been abused. Near as I
can tell, someone at sometime had let the clay dry out in the pugmill
and then tried to run it. The gear box has brass worm gears and they
stripped out. I took the motor and gear box to a local machine shop and
they were able to get the parts to rebuild it. But it wasn't cheap.
YOu can probably get it fixed, but the cost may make it impractical.
