Hello everyone,

Fine Art Ceramics, a new magazine due out this coming January, is =
searching for freelance writers. This publication differs from the =
others in that we feature editorial for the working ceramic artist. =
What does this mean right? Fine Art Ceramics magazine will feature =
articles on helping artists manage their careers. Each month we will =
visit the studios of successful or emerging artists. Editorial will =
focus on marketing and selling art, pricing art, protecting art through =
copyright, how and where to enter municipal commisions, and a host of =
other topics that the serious ceramicist is vitally interested in. If =
this sounds of interest to you or someone you know please email me back =
or give us a call toll free 888-899-5985 so we can fill you in on the =
details. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Adam White

Adam -

The title Fine Art Ceramics seems to me to be a little misleading.

There are many potters that consider themselves "artists" but there is still
the old art v.s. craft thing out there.

Is this ceramics as in slip molded ceramics or is ceramics as in pottery?

Your clarification on these and other such related points would be greatly
appreciated.

I'm wondering if there's a place for potters and their concerns in your
magazine. it sounds like you would rather not concern yourself with other
than fine art ceramics.

Dear Les ,

Not hear a thing either. It might be one of those Vanity Press =
publication outfits where clients pay them to publish their CVs, potted =
biographies, pictures of work and so on. A common sort of practice in =
the literary publishing field for budding poets and novelists. You pay a =
hundred or so bucks up front and send them your work. They edit and =
compile the contributions then send you a copy of the book or magazine.

Good to hear from you again.

All the best,

Ivor
