What makes a pot functional? How can pottery transcend mere function, =
while still honoring it's intended use? In this two day workshop, Steven =
will throw and alter pots, demonstrate slip trailing, and use the =
extruder; all the while communicating his enthusiasm and passion for =
functional stoneware and single firing. =20

Steven Hill received his BFA from Kansas State University in 1973. Since =
that time he has been a professional studio potter, with his home and =
studio located in Kansas City, Missouri. Steven's work is exhibited and =
sold in nationally juried shows and is featured in many ceramics books. =
