Angela, the model number or style of a face mask is really not too
important. They are all tested and certified before they are marketed.
What is important is the filter that is installed on the respirator.
The cartridges needed to protect you from harmful fumes are
not the same as the ones used to protect you from particulates
such as clay dust.
For the fumes from luster firing, I would think that you need
a filter designed for organic vapors, which means things like
insecticide fumes.

love the idea of using a blowtorch for lustre application,I could save time
and money, however, the wind method seems a bit hit and miss to me.

Does anybody know if a 3M 6000 Series Half mask (it says in the instruction
booklet "designed for removing potentially harmful gases, vapours from the
atmosphere) would be enough protection from potential hazardous fumes?
