I'm also thinking about a buying a new wheel.   But for whatever reason, I'm drawn to a Thomas

Stuart Electric, Elite Model (or maybe I'll just go ahead and get the Professional Model!).

Does anyone have any advice on the Thomas Stuart Models?

I think I'm drawn to it because it isn't made from plastic!   At a class I took, they had a fairly new

brent, with a splash pan that had to be put on absolutely perfectly or it leaked.   What good is a

splash pan that leaks all over your ankles?

The way I figure it, if I'm going to spend $700, on something that I hope will last me forever (or

at least a really long time), I might as well go ahead and spend $900 or $1000, and get the one

I really want!

(And yea, I'm 99% sure I'll buy locally.  Even if I can save some by having it shipped.  I'm a

newbie, and Brackers has taught me more with their little bits of free advice (hundreds of not

thousands of little bits!), than I'll ever learn from a company over any catalog or the internet.)

I love my Thomas Stuart. I Have The Professional but seriously looked at =
the Elite. My only problem with the pro is that it sits higher due to =
the bigger motor. Not a problem for me since I am 6'4" but I have had a =
hard time finding just the right stool to sit on. I am using 3 five =
gallon buckets stacked in each other with a cushion for comfort and it =
is just about right for me. Some one on clayart posted recently that the =
elite models were plastic but he/she was wrong. It is also very easy to =
level the wheel. The pedal is not Soldner's but I think that soldner's =
cost too much anyway.
