Hey Mel,
When were you in Yellowstone?
We, me, wife and 17 yr old son, met friends from Asheville, NC. in
Jacson Hole.
Spent the week before Labor Day exploring The Grand Tetons and
Yellowstone.
Stayed in Old Faithful Lodge. What a place! Met Carl Sheehan, resident
potter
at Old Faithful Gift Shop. What great deal he's got. Gets to spend 6
months a
year living and working in Yellowstone. The gift shop buys all he makes.
The rest of the year he goes home to Bozeman MT.
I offered to work for him if he ever wanted to take a summer vacation.
I've been a dog-in-truck spotter for years.
Alway's makes me smile.
Saw one,a big black lab, in a truck in Cooke City,MT. on the way back
from
the Bear Tooth Hywy. They stopped at the same gas station when I did.
Two guys got out, left the truck running, Willie Nelson playing on the
radio,
the dog stayed in the truck, We just looked at each other and listened
to
Willie. The dog didn't bark til the guys came back, he was ready to
ride.
Neat memory.
Yellowstone was an inspiring place for me. Think everyone should go
there at
least once. We're going back someday.
Oh well, got lots of memories and lots of photos. Too much to write
about.
Hope you had as much fun as we did.
