I just got into Germantown Maryland from Miami, Fl. and I'm looking for
ceramic exhibits at galleries and museums. Would like to see contemporary
work. Went to Renwick Gallery today. Lovely place but not much ceramic. I'm
here until Sunday if anyone knows places to call please write to me off list
as I'm on no mail while I'm away.
Thanks for all advise.
Diane from sunny hot Miami and enjoying mild autumn weather.

Dear Diane;

I was just back there prior to the Shino show for a visit to
basement storage in the Freer Gallery, and reccommend that you take in the
Shimaoka show at the Japan Cultural Center. Also:

Earth and Fire Pottery is carrying top-notch work by great
people - Mark Shapiro, Sam Taylor, Richard Busch, Jim Connell, Malcolm
Davis, Louise Harter. She has about 30 artists' work in all. Each
artist has their own cupboard or table.

And:

Finewares, at 7042 Carroll Ave. Takoma Park,MD 20912, carries many
of the same artists' work as Earth and Fire. Malcolm Davis used
to sell there, and Kevin Crowe and Terry Gess have work there
now. The phone number is 301-270-3138 .

Hope you are able to visit one or more of these. Hank in Eugene
