tandoori chicken pot

anyone know the specifics on making a pot in which to cook tandoori chicken.
i have a killer recipe but lack anything authentic to cook it in.

Hi Becky, A tandoor is a large barbecue oven, chicken and other things are
cooked on a grill inside, and traditionally nan, a type of bread, is cooked
on the hot outside wall. Nan sticks to the outside until done, then falls
off. Neat. from Rikki, freezing in Berkeley

the brave cook their Nan on the inside, too. or at least, they do on the
tandoors that are built in. I was going to talk about Slough and its
tandoor kebab houses, but maybe not.

if you don't want a 3' tandoor oven, you can achieve a reasonable result
using a chicken brick and your oven set on high. but the temperature won't
be as hot , so the meat won't cook so quickly - which is the secret. your
chicken brick will also be tasting of spices for some time to come. It works
fine with a whole chicken, but if your recipe doesn't say this, make sure
you skin the thing first.

I think there is a restaurant here in Las Vegas that uses electric kilns
for tandoori chicken. Apparently they have a large bisque type pot
inside the kiln that they cook in/on and use the kiln for the heat source.
