My daughter planned to fly to New York tomorrow. Now she thinks someone
else may need to get there more urgently than she does, so she's giving up
her seat. The person she was going to visit sent this e-mail this morning.
"...just got back. walked 10 blocks. I passed the fire house right near
me....there were all these flowers outside, so I stopped and read the board
that said "thanks for your support and lets pray for the ones we've lost."
and they had 1 dead and 8 missing, likely to be dead. this is over 100
blocks from the towers. it hits home. i started to cry. i felt so so soo
bad. if you're not here, you just dont understand the mood and feeling. I
cannot explain it. people are emotionless and staring blank. it truly is a
warzone that I will never forget. I am forever changed."
