Hello all-
I am building a single chamber wood kiln, and have begun the search
for grates.
Does anyone know of a reliable source for stainless steel tubing in a
suitable gauge?
Or perhaps have a suggestion for an alternate solution that has worked?
I have been emailing companies that I have found by web searches, so far
without success .
Thanks in advance for any help.

Is stainless tubing used for this allot?
We've used old bridge rebar, machinery shafts, et. I need 29" length for my
firebox. At first I spanned the entire width but the bars would sag and
deteriorate fairly quickly until I added a row of brick set on edge down the
center of the firepit to support them in the center. Now they last a really
long time. Blacksmith/hubby says if you're buying new, 1" hot-rolled
square(so they don't roll) should be just fine.
