Good for you. I did that same procedure and couldn't get the thing to budge
which is when the manufacturer gave me the option for a new mother board (for
$269) or a new chip for free - I accepted chip for free to start. Again, a
new level of kiln repair for me, but I was able to do it and the kiln was up
and working again.

Nancy,
Sometimes we get lucky ( and help)...
and sometimes we get the "horns" !
I guess we both got lucky.
Kiln is cooling off now!
BTW, if you have not been to David Coggins' website , I highly recommend it.
Lots of good info and links.
