fw: fiber stability question

Faye,
Any of the products you mentioned will work. "continuous" duty is
approaching
24 hours a day, year round. Chemical plants and the like. For a kiln, all
the products will work because they are only exposed to about 2,000+ degrees
for a few hours a year.
However, almost all shrink. You probably should ask about that, and how
much, and figure that into what you want to do.
Also, consider whether you want to use ITC on the fiber. A rigidizer
like sodium silicate might be sufficient.
I had to buy a box to get any blanket insulation. Then I found a
supplier who had scraps of ceramic board insulation. You might ask,
explaining how many square feet you need. This darn stuff isn't cheap!
Good luck with your kiln insulation,
Dave Finkelnburg
