I abandoned measuring lids years ago.

If I am making bottles, corks work better.

If I am making jars, tes pots, sugar bowls, etc,

I use cookie cutters.

The metal ones with no handle and super thin. If you
fit it down inside the gallery and make the gallery
thst size, then you can fit it down over the lid and
the combination will be a perfect lid.

It also streamlined my sizes. Since I only use these
now, and I have a set ranging from 1.5-4 inches
across, it suffices for most size needs. Remembering
which one I used is easy enough if you limit your use
to the small medium large model.

Also, if you will use a tile/bat system for your lids,
and let them pop off, they will stay flat and fit
smooth as silk, as will pot, since you will not have
distorted your lovely lip by removing it from the
wheel head.

(All the tile/bat info you need is in the archives,
look before you ask!)

And I have a NEW EMAIL ADDRESS, please write me here
to help me build my new address book. My old email
said it would be free forever when I signed
up...Netaddress is a lying bastard of a company...but
they had good email and a good address... but now I am
a yahoo...

PS
Send me your email address Sylvia, as I have misplaced
it and you never post....
