Dear Ron,
Thanks to contributing to this discussion.
To take up your points <although hard to talk about -can be divided between live and dead with =
stages in between.....this is not a superficial quality that can be =
hidden - it has to do with form and volume - inside space. Crucial =
considerations when container making......hoping others can help explain =
this concept - it is so important.>>
You are right. It is time these things were aired in open discussion or =
debate. I am beginning to appreciate the difficulty of giving concrete =
expression to these things without using metaphor and subjective =
comparison.
I hope some of the others come to the lectern and express their views on =
the topic.
Best regards,

Dear Ron and Ivor,

Another aspect to consider about form. Besides, volume, there is
BALANCE and NEGATIVE SPACE. The form/container the I concentrate on
is the teapot, of which, volume, form, balance and negative space all
contribute to making a piece alive.

Good comments, Liz. Are we back to the discussion of Pattern Language=20=

that occupied the list for a while last year? I feel it is the same=20=

issue and that we are (rightfully) continuously trying to explain the=20=

issues in another vocabulary so that it makes sense for all.=20
