Dear Clayarters,
If you're coming to San Francisco this summer or early fall there are 2
shows I recommend you make an effort to see

Sculpting the 20th Century
120 works by Henry Moore (through 9/16)
Calif Palace of the Legion of Honor
Lincoln Park, 34th at Clement
9:30-5 Tues-Sunday
$8 plus $2 extra for Moore show
free on Tuesday.
There is an ongoing show of porcelain from Europe worth taking a look
at.

California Pottery: From Missions to Moderism (through 10/14)
This exhibition features commercially produced pottery tableware and
home accessories made in Calif during the first half of the 20th
century. As you finish this exhibition and walk into the next room
there is large ceramic sculpture by Jeff Koons of Michael Jackson and a
monkey. What a contrast! A show of 100 Ansel Adams photographs also
just opened
San Francisco Museum of Modern Art
151 Third St
11-6 Fri-Tues
$10 first Tues of the month free

I'm getting visiting potters from China, Australia and Japan this fall.
So I will be giving them my potter's tour of SF. I have this written
out and am willing to forward it to anyone who wants it and contacts me
directly (not thru clayart)
