I have a student that went to Las Vegas this weekend...

So I figured I would ask him to visit Tom Coleman's studio.
He called and a voice explained that they had sold the
studio to Aardvark and was going to reopen in three months.

Does anyone know more information....and
perhaps an address...
many thanks

Funny - I was in Las Vegas last week on business, also
looking to visit Tom Coleman's studio and gallery on
the weekend. I checked the yellow pages and called
the number for Tom Coleman studio & gallery -- it had
been disconnected with no new number listed.

From the yellow pages, it was evident that Aardvark
shared the same address as the defunct Tom Coleman
studio. I called Aardvark figuring they'd know where
he went... According to Aardvark, he's moving his
studio to Parump, Nevada (no address or phone given)
-- about 45 minutes outside of Las Vegas. They said
he was planning to open a teaching studio on a ranch.
Apparently, he plans to give workshops there.

I thought it was odd that such a well-known potter
would not have calls directed to a new number. Why
leave your customers wondering where you went?

I haven't talked to Tom since he had his "final" studio sale, My
understanding is that Tom with some friends are developing a new studio
in Pahrump, NV (about 50 minutes west of Las Vegas) They were calling it
the "Shino Ranch". Last I heard they were going to conduct/offer
workshops out there. Tom and Elaine still live in Henderson and they
have a home studio. They are just in a transition period. Aardvark
needed the space and Tom's program was winding down.
