Put a couple of hose clamps around them.

I=B9ve been moving two plaster press molds for large tiles from studio to
studio over the last 10 years. Recently I moved my slab roller and forgot
they were leaning up against one of the legs. Down they went into 3 pieces
each.

Any suggestions on how to repair plaster molds?

Wayne, if these are big heavy molds, with lots of solid plaster to
work with, this works really well:
Put the pieces back together and tape it all together, then, drill
a hole through 2 sections. If the molds are in 3 pieces, you will
need 3 holes. Put all-thread rod through the holes and tighten with
a washer and nut on each end.
Remove the tape.
You will need either an extra long drill bit, or a drill bit extension,
which will allow you to drill deep holes with a standard bit.

>Hi Wayne and all,

I am just seeing this thread and although somebody mentioned white glue I
don't think it was emphasized enough that it will really repair molds as
good as new. Just be sure to keep it away from the working surface as it
will prevent absorption. Somebody on clayart mentioned this fix awhile
back and it sure has made life easier for me.
