I start by unplugging the wheel and taking the motor bushes out and
re-install them making sure there is good spring tension when your push
them back in the motor.

Hello Everyone!
I am a little desperate for some help! I have a Bailey Wheel that I got 3
months ago. I am enjoying the design of the wheel but I am having
mechanical problems. From the beginning, I have had trouble keeping the
control pedal at the speed I need it at. For example, when slowing the
wheel down from a medium speed, the wheel would surge and go faster before
slowing down. And then it was hard to get it to go at a slow speed without
just stopping. I called Bailey & they suggested adjusting the tension on
the pedal. I did that & then after reading all the great recommendations on
the Clayart archives, I just attributed the problems to my transition from a
Lockerbie (motorized) kickwheel to the electric wheel. BUT NOW the problems
have gotten worse. Now I press down on the pedal all the way to the floor,
and NOTHING happens. If I put a little bit of pressure on the wheelhead, it
all of a sudden starts up (pedal still pressed). The rotation of the wheel
at slow speeds is jerky at best. I think the belts are tight and that
doesn't seem to be the problem. The wheelhead and flywheel have been
checked and tightened... and I don't know what to do next. It is Sunday and
I can't get in touch with Bailey (this started yesterday afternoon Pacific
time - Bailey was already closed). I have orders due and can't sit around
waiting for Bailey, and I can't be without my wheel while trouble-shooting.
AAAARGH!!!! Any suggestions on what to tinker with to try to fix
this???????

Thanks again for any help!
