I have come out of lurkdom. 8-) I have been skimming your posts =
watching for morsels which would help me in establishing my first =
business. There were many. All different, from glazes to bookkeeping. =
Thank you for helping someone that you may have met briefly at NCECA =
2000.

I wish to announce the first fireing (Bisque only) of my previously =
owned Vulcan kiln. I had to rewire the plug. That was a first too. =
And opening the kiln setter. And the switch box. And the little box of =
cones........

Do any of you remember the first kiln that you could call yours? For me =
it is like my first car and my first apartment. And tomorrow will be =
Christmas! =20

After 8 years, my education begins again. I share studio space with a =
wonderful potter, Walt Weinberg. For those who don't know him, he is a =
fantastic production potter. He is also a mentor and my teacher. He =
does so by teaching the way he learned - by doing and talking and by =
taking a risk. He needs to be nominated for the "Potter's Hall of Fame" =
or some such honor. My hat is off to you, Walt.

Tomorrow Bisqued Kitty Caskets (without the kitty. 8-0)
