source for porcelain tiles?

Hello,

Does anybody know of a source for porcelain tiles? We need the
tiles to show some degree of translucence (from cone10). One
potential use for the tiles involves back lighting. Our first order
will likely only be for 36 or so. We can use most any size from
6" by 6" on up, but larger preferred. Any flat items, such as platters
could also be used.

We will be using them to test our new "ink jet on steroids" decorating
technique which uses the metal sulfates. The testing will be in Northport,
Michigan. (Bruce & Bonnie consider yourselves warned! )

Thank you,

I noticed some tiles in the most recent Bailey catalog - I remember that they could
be fired at least to cone 6, which was what I was looking around for, but I don't
recall if they went to cone 10. They were porcelain.

I also know that Florida Tile makes bisqued tiles to spec - you might try them -
they have an 800 number.
