Regarding Marcia's post about her Italy workshop: the trip was fabulous!
I highly recommend the fall workshop to anyone who has an interest in
architectural clay work and travel. Marcia is a great teacher and so easy
to get along with, and the facilities are first rate. It is a gorgeous rural
location,
and she plans many trips to overload your senses on art and history....and
food. Speaking of food (close your eyes Marcia), it was definitely the
highlight of the
trip. Lunch is part of the workshop cost, and is a two hour affair with many
courses, lots of pasta and fresh cheese, fruits, vegetables, wine. We did
fall
into groups to make projects which were site specific to La Meridiana,
using local terracotta. I too miss the people and Italy.
Did I say the food was incredible?
