For anyone wanting to make soft arch bricks. Take a piece of 3/4 inch
plywood approx. 18" by 12" and cut a hole in the center 4.5" by 9". Make a
support under the hole so that a soft brick, when dropped in the hole, will
have one long edge sticking up 1/8" out of the hole.( the other edge will be
flush with the surface of the board) Now take a sheet of 80 grit sandpaper
(very coarse) and wrap it around a piece of 2x4 stapeling it securely in
place. Simply sand the edge down to the level of the board. Make sure you
clean the hole out each time. It's fast and all of your arch bricks will be
the same size.

I seem to remember sawing these with a Hand Saw, as well, and tidying them
up with a rasp...or coarse Sandpaper.

The Below wood-frame guide idea sounds pretty good...maybe speed matters up
some with a saw, cut close and sand from there...for 'soft-bricks' that
is...
