The recent NCECA news article has an incorrect date for submission of
materials for the NCECA curated show for the Kansas City conference.
Michel Conroy, NCECA Exhibitions Director, has confirmed that the
correct deadline is JUNE 15, so there is time to get those slides in to
her. Information below for all the material men and women of clay.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
NCECA 2002 Invitational Exhibition
The H&R Block Artspace at the Kansas City Art Institute

In conjunction with the NCECA 2002 conference to be held in Kansas City,
Missouri, the H&R Block Artspace at the Kansas City Art Institute will
host the NCECA Invitational Exhibition. Co-curators for the exhibition,
Raechell Smith, Director of the H&R Block Artspace and Michel Conroy,
NCECA Exhibitions Director, have chosen the contemporary ceramic
artist’s exploration of materiality as the focus of the exhibition.

If you would like to be considered for the exhibition, please send a
statement regarding the connection between your work and the exhibition
theme, 4-12 slides of pertinent, available work (labeled with name,
title, top, dimensions, date and media,) a resume, and a self-addressed,
stamped envelope with sufficient postage for the return of your slides
to:
Michel Conroy
NCECA Exhibitions Director
731 North Shore Dr.
Holland, MI 49424

Work must have been produced within the last ten years and ceramic
materials must be the primary media. Submissions must be received by
June 15, 2001 to be considered. The exhibition curators will make the
final determination of artists and works. Slides of work accepted for
the exhibition will be retained by NCECA for publicity and documentation
purposes. NCECA will publish an exhibition catalog featuring a
photograph of work by each artist.

If you would like to suggest another artist, or artists, for the
exhibition, please send their name, address and phone number, or share
this notice with them. For further information concerning the NCECA
2002 Invitational Exhibition, please contact Michel Conroy at the
address above or via email at MC15@swt.edu.
