Hi All,

Anybody here making lithophanes or have experience with them? I want to
take some of my figurative relief tiles and turn them into lithophane
nightlights. Lithophanes, I would assume are usually fired to cone 10.
I am wondering whever I can get a cone 6 grolleg that will give me
translucency.

Onto the digital comment. I have a Canon G1 and I LOVE it! For me it
came down to eiter the Nikon Coolpix or the Canon. The Canon won out
because it has th ability to shoot at ISO 50 - think kodachrome, rich
saturated color. It also has a unique storage system that enables me to
store more images and a tilting LCD screen so I can get above a mural
and see what I am shooting. Anyone interested in buying a digital
should spend some time at this site. http://www.dpreview.com Whatever
you buy, you should buy it from somebody who will stand behind the
product. I had to go through 2 cameras before I got one that didn't
have a problem. I bought a 340 megadrive, so I have the capacity to
shoot 190 images on thefinest resolution and up to 600 shoots on the
coarsest resolution. The camera cost $800 and the microdrive cost $250.
Now I am researching image browser software so I can organize the
research I have been doing.

Hope this helps,
Mary
