cindy,

i took a workshop at arrowmont few years ago, it was great. i`d recommend
it to anyone. it is in a beautiful setting, just to walk around,
you can visit the gallery- when i was there they had a great show, their
library is huge with tons of art books.... actually now i think i might
want to take another workshop there this summer. (thanks for bringing this
up)
have a good trip,

marta
in minnesota, just used a whole roll of film, making pictures of hundreds
of butterflies. they are all over on the blossoms of our apple
tree.....never ever saw sooo many. they made my day!

I have gotten literature from Arrowmont, the people this school attracts is
impressive. Lana Wilson will be doing a class in a couple weeks I will be
in Gatlinburg (well actually staying in a log cabin in the smokies) and I
was wondering: since I am going to be out there anyway, does anyone know if
Arrowmont is worth a look (just a visit) since I have not signed up for any
courses there yet?

Arrowmont is a treasure, beautiful campus, wonderful studios, great
accommodations, and Bill Griffith is a gem. It always seems a bit
disconcerting to find such a place amidst the tacky squalor of Gatlinburg,
but once on the school grounds you forget all about that other world.
Best wishes -

Arrowmont is one of the leading craft schools in the world. It is MUCH
worth a visit, if you can find the opportunity. It is an impressive
facility, and gets great people to teach there, regularly.

Bill- who last had an Arrowmont class in the early 70s.
