Hey Merrie..... congratulations! It's one thing to have managed to
acquire a woodfire kiln.... no easy process by itself.... but quite
something else to lead different teams and have consistently desirable
results.... didn't say the RESULTS were consistent. I know better than
that... it's the lack of predictability that gets us! But the
desirability HAS been consistent, and you have every right to be proud.
Would love to see that ash. Any pics that can be sent jpg on an e-mail?

One of these times you'll be offering woodfire workshops, and when you
do, I'll sign up for sure.... I'll promise to work hard. I know how
labor intensive that process is.

In the Mojave where the cactus blooms have crumpled, the yellow
blossoms on the creosote bushes have tumbled, and the teeny white
cottony balls of fluff have replaced them. We have a few apricot mallows
hanging in there, and the gypsum weed (poisonous, yes.... so is the
creosote) is producing wonderful, huge, white flowers... the better to
attract you with and then strike you dead.
