I want to make some pots which will be mainly terra sigillata but will ha=
ve
a glazed panel (matt glaze). I then want to smoke fire them and need a wa=
y
to protect the panel as the matt glaze will absorb the smoke. I know some
people use a coarse slip which they then crack off afterwards but I don't
want to do this as I think it will damage the panel. I thought of placing=
a
piece of tin or something over it but not sure how to attach it to the po=
t
without leaving lines on the pot. Any ideas anyone? Thanks
