Dear Elca,
I have a Globar electric kiln capable of 1600C. I already made slip cast
bodies(coffee mugs) from a "continental porcelain" formula I got from
internet. I fired them to 1000-1100C and got a pretty good ware. Now I am
planning to formulate my own glaze by mixing the minimum number of
constituents that will fit my body. I want to use kaolin, ball clay,
silica,
feldspar, whiting, etc. I am wondering how I should approach the problem
of
creating the glaze from scratch.? There should be texts here in Turkish
but I
have not done a thorough search yet.
Bebek is like Beverly Hills of Turkey. What were you doing there? Own a
ceramic studio or something? Did you like it there?
Thnx
Sedat
