Pictures of the Falls Creek Shino ^6 ox on Jonathan's of D.C.'s mug, and
Jim Bowen's teabowl (which may be reduction?) are being sent as
promised. Shots are not as I'd like them today ... too much light, too
little light, reflected light ... naturally this happens when I want you
to be able to see the glaze. AbabiBaby received his though in Israel
(still impresses me!) and said they "looked good." Couldn't help but
stick in the micro pot I created (first one) on my new micro-wheel
during the mug exchange ... don't know why, but somehow the micro seems
to appeal to me. Nice to be able to throw in my room at the Omni when I
was awake at 4 a.m. per usual ... even with the 3 hour time change...
had nobody to hang with during my most productive part of the day ... so
threw micros. Usually would go for a walk and see the city at its best
.... did the first day or two ... empty cities are wonderful in the early,
early a.m.... London... Paris ... Amsterdam... N.Y. even Vegas ... just
the garbagemen, streetsweepers, delivery guys and I .... but my crooked
toes were beginning to rebel... bigtime. Fine now. Sure don't want to
have that surgery ...

In the Mojave listening to Gershwin all morning.... lovely ... nothing

dear Joyce;

sew up a small tent out of white nylon ripstop fabric, with an opening to
shoot through. indoors with tungsten light or outdoors with the sun; you
will get lovely soft shadows and true color.

Hank in Eugene, listening to Maureen McGovern singing "Stairway to
Paradise", Ira was hip.
