pacifica seat

I recently bought a new Pacifica wheel which I like so far. I also bought the seat that
attaches. My problem is that at its closest it is still 4" away from the wheel. I end
up sitting on the seat edge so that I can get my knees up around the splash pan and use
my leg for leverage. Has anyone else had this problem, how did you deal with it? I
guess I can cut the two pipes that attach, but it is annoying after paying so much.

I had to do the same thing. And since I throw big, I have to constantly be shifting the
seat. I now just just block of moist clay while centering and then when I need more room
for the pot, I set it aside, but if Pacifica is listening, some better adjustments would
be under the term "expected value."

Hi Janet
I had a similar problem with the attached seat being in the wrong =
position which made throwing for a long period uncomfortable and gave me =
a sore back. So what I have now is a office chair that has adjustable =
height and is on castors so much easier now I can move around the work =
area without having to get up every time, and I can make the seat higher =
when I'm doing larger pieces.
