I had a quick browse through this book: the 3rd. edition of Clay and
Glazes for the Potter by Daniel Rhodes & Robin Hopper, which has been
revised and expanded by Robin Hopper. Looks good, if you have the $$$
($62.00CAD) for it. Good pictures, and seems well-organized...
The Amazon site has an editorial review, and two done by readers in
the year 2000. Also has a review of an older edition of this text by
Edouard B. of Clayart.
