Hi,

In the search for "glaze tiger eye pottery", I came up with the
Treadway Gallery. You can browse the auctions for many early century
decorative craft items at: http://www.treadwaygallery.com/

On the main page, scroll to the bottom and click on Catalogues> to get started. Then choose an auction and click on the
title of the auction. Not all have links to images, but the 20th.
Century Auction "50's Modern Art Deco" does, as does at least one of
the Rookwood Pottery auctions.

For example, here is a link to a Warren Mackenzie piece:

and to the Heinos:

and to a couple of George Ohr snakes:

(The two snakes went for $1,200.00.)
or a Beatrice Wood Sculpture:

Specific to the subject line is:
http://www.treadwaygallery.com/6-3-2000-sale/catalog/lot435.html
has an image of a Rookwood vase in Tiger Eye glaze.

and for comparison, an aventurine glaze:

Dear Debbie,

I attended Cranbrook back in the early 50's and was impressed with Maija's
boiling glaze. I did not use it at the time, but now I use the principle.
If you put almost any stable opaque white glaze over a strongly colored one,
you will get these great spots. I use anything from a glossy black, to a
runny blue containing rutile, over Barnard Clay mixed with 10% whiting.
They all work as long as the opaque white is stable and the glaze below has
some juiciness. Maija's glaze was very controlled and she applied many
glazes on her finished pot.

Regards, Bonnie Staffel of Charlevoix, MI.
