kiln brick and fiber liner at nceca

What's the possibility of new soft kiln brick being
available for sale at NCECA?

A friend of mine is contemplating driving his truck to
Charlotte (from Chicago) in anticipation of being able
to buy hundreds of them to replace a lot of the aging
bricks in his propane-fired kiln. He needs bricks built
to handle ^10R. What's that designation . . . K-26? or is
it T-26? Anyway, that's what he's after.

His hope is that one of the commercial exhibitors would
have these with them and would be happy to make an
attractive deal at the end of the conference in order
to avoid hauling them back to wherever.

I don't recall any such pontential dealings being
available last year in Denver, but then perhaps that
was because I had no interest myself.

I told him I'd post this for him (he's not a clayart
member yet) and ask that any responses, positive or
discouraging, be addressed directly to him at . . .

eheinz4@home.com His name's Earl.

He won't be leaving Chicago until early Wednesday the
28th, so he'd appreciate any comments up until then.

Oh yeah, he's interested in kiln fiber lining with the
same kind of thinking as above.

Thanks for the help. See you in the clayart room.

Those of us with commercial booths tend to bring display items...the stuff
that some of us sell there is small higher dollar return items. Brick is a
high volume/low return business. I personally would never bring pallets of
brick or fiber to a show.... brick is something you want to move as few times
as possible. I'd be surprised...no make that flabergasted... if anyone brings
brick or quantities of fiber. See ya'll in Charlotte.
