Dear Will and Clayart,
I laughed when I read this because....
This past Christmas my daughter and I created a fund in the Pot Shop =
from all the sales monies Helene collected from selling her small pots =
(wheel thrown I am proud to add, at her tender age of 7). She donated =
all of her earnings since July of about 50.00 USD to a Crisis and Self =
Help Center in our town. The message to my daughter being that no one =
forces you to eat and hopefully there will never be a day when someone =
forces you NOT to eat. That many people are much less fortunate than so =
many of us are. The local newspaper covered her little story and you =
can believe I felt so proud when she told the reporter, who of course =
put it in print, that when she grew up, she would not want to be potter, =
because she would not like to get up and work in the nights like her =
mother does.

Smart child, where does she get it from?

On the subject of Funds, well, I cannot say more than how incredibly =
meaningful this fund is to honor our potter friends as well as help a =
ceramist.

Funds are an important part of my life. I grew up with funds created by =
my grandma and father, and most recently a fund set up in my late =
sister's name to award an outstanding Pyscology student every year at =
Colombia University.

Mel, I share your happiness and hope I can in some way contribute, not =
just financially of course, but in any way that I could help to ensure =
that "our" fund thrives year after year.

Best regards,
Alisa in Denmark
