twenty two percent iron oxide

Nothing wrong with this amount of red iron oxide. I have a high soda =
glaze with almost the same quantity of Iron but it is divided between =
free oxide and Yellow Ochre and is fired to Orton Cone 8. Brilliant =
surface, highly reflective and suffused with metallic lustred crystals =
from 1-3mm dia, presumably of Haematite.
I believe they go under the name of Saturated Iron Glazes.
