Gee,
$5 a hit at ASU? You must put some pretty good sh*t in them! Don't let
the fed's dogs smell your luggage!

The astonishing thing I learned when I
started doing charcoal firing is the
amazing range of color that clay takes on
and in varied patches...stripes...zones
on the raw stoneware....after experiencing
the dynamic variety of color...with the
wisdom of the process of the firing...
I have always felt severely limited
in creating beautiful surfaces with
glaze....And glaze has the potential
to look contrived....forced...

No turning back...

Then I fired Porcelain in a charcoal
kiln and was lost to the process....

So I am awed with the process of the
firing, for the potential of surprises
and magic....
Just my point of view....
