plop some sloppy clay in the holes in your bat. It'll n'er move. Then just forge
up.

if a wheel wobbles up and down, well that is sorta bad.
makes brent red in the face. new cxc. tsk tsk.

if the pins make the batts seem out of round does
not matter a wit.

ignore it. i have 100 mishapen batts. not even round.
oval. they just make pots. straight and even.

i have batts with pin holes as big as a dinner plates.
just slap them down, the batt jiggles back and forth, but
the pot is straight.

so many want everything to be within ten thousands of an inch.
stupid.

our machined wheels are too perfect.

as i have said before..build in the wobble, it will make you a
better potter.
smack that wheel head with a mallet.
