Hi

Can anyone tell me how many coats of terra sigs one can pour on a pot safely??

Bryan -
I never pour the terra sig. I get the best results with wet flowing coats
using a thick soft brush, like a Japanese "hakeme" brush. With the terra
sig no thicker than 1.15 density, you can apply ten or more coats to build
up the thickness you want. However, if you high-fire your work and if there
is any difference in vitrification shrinkage between the base clay and the
terra sig coating, you could get some serious flaking with thicker
applications of sig, especially in reduction firing.
