Jim Larkin of Fox Pass Pottery,

About your search for California potters:
There is an Australian web site called Clayzee which you can find on the
Internet. On the first page there is a link to Potters and Potteries; click
on. Then you pick the country (USA) and then the state. There you will
find a list of CA potters; click on the highlighted names for descriptions
and directions. Let me recommend particularly Nichibei Potters in
Sebastopol.

Hope this helps you track down some interesting potters.

Hi jim-

Your friend might visit the calistoga pottery in
calistoga on Hwy 29., the Hoyman-Browe Pottery in
Ukiah, about 30 min north of Santa Rosa, a wonderful
pottery making ware sold around the world. Recently
they fired a anagama kiln here and the results were
very pleasing I hear. Also, if they would like, they
would be welcome to visit me at my studio/cabin in
Whipering Pines just above the Napa Valley. There are
many more potters here, but these are just a few.
Feel free to contact me for more information.

Where spring is here already here, my beard is gone
and the days for skiing are numbered in small digits.

Once again, I would like to extend an invitation to any visitor to this
area to visit the berkeley potters guild, about half an hours drive over the
Richmond bridge from Sausalito. We are open every sat and sun, or they can
call me [Rikki- 510-845-0849] to arrange another time. They can find
directions on our web site, www.berkeleypotters.com and samples of our
work. There are 19 potters who are members. Rikki gill.
