how to make cane handles

Well, Clayarters asked for it and we have produced it. Sheila and son Sean
(same guy that did our website) have literally spent the last 2 months of
countless hours producing a 60 minute video on the various methods of
making cane handles for bowls, plates, jar lids, teapots and assorted pots.
this is way up there in the quality dept. Sean has pulled out all the smoke
and mirrors to produce a highly instructional video. the principal and vice
will be proud.
We will be marketing it thru CM and Clay Times but of course we are proud
that Clayart inspired it and for that we either thank you or hate you. It
cost us a top of the line Sony digital movie camera, hundreds of hours,
computer software that only Bill Gates knew existed and a committment to
learn film and computer technology that would have a person spike their
Pepsi or Orange Crush.
We have also sourced a supply of reed and cane that we will be selling.
Sheila is willing to do a mini freebie workshop in Charlotte. From the
sounds of it the Clayart room is packed to capacity already. What do you
think, Mayor Mel?????
Clayarters could e-mail me off list and we could arrange something in our
room at the Adams Mark. Again, it depends on numbers.
I don't want to flog this on Clayart.
It is however one of the other benefits of this list. It gets people doing
things they wouldn't have dreamed they would ever do. I can thank you all
for the encouragement of my writing, our pots and now this. If the Mayor
allows this post to continue then well be it, if not, thank you all for this
little side road in a potters life.
cheers,
Tony

Tony;

Congrats. That is what I like to hear. We need more visual aids to help us
make great art.
