Drakenfield was a company that made stains prior to the more popular
Mason stains. I still have some drakenfield stains.

I live about 2 miles from the Drakenfeld Marcia is talking about but I live in
Washington PA not New York like your banding wheel says. Maybe they were based there
before I was around. Drakenfeld has changed hands over the last few years going from
being called Cerdec to it's current name DMC2 Degussa metals.
Their address is 251 Wylie Av, Canton PA 15301 and their number is 724-223-5900
Maybe someone there can help.

In Washington where I could see Drakenfeld from my bedroom window if it wasn't for
this friggin march snow storm.

Drakenfeld was on Mulberry Street (I think) where Little Italy met the
Village. They disappeared in the 1960s or so, and I am so happy to hear
that they are alive and well someplace else.

PLEASE, ALL OF YOU WHO STILL HAVE DRAKENFELD STAINS FROM THE GOOD OLD
DAYS; REMEMBER SOME OF THOSE STAINS CONTAIN MATERIALS NOW BARRED
FROM THE STUDIO.
