Dear Clayart,
In a brochure about Disneyland's new theme park called "California", =
they highlight one of the attractions. It is a ceramic mural of "hand =
glazed" tiles. Has anyone seen it or know who designed and made it? =
Maybe they have a website photo of it somewhere. I was in the park just =
before "California" opened, I think, this month.
Best regards,
Alisa in Denmark

Tim Delaney, a Disneyland "Imagineer" designed it. What I'd like to know is
where the tiles were produced--what studio?

Alisa asked:

Alisa,

I'm not sure about the mural in Disney California, but I know Disney
contracted for a lot of art work for the Florida one when they added
hotels, etc. I had slides with a firm that did some of the work, and made
them a sample for a sea mural, but it was too late, someone beat me to it.
Nice to know they're using original artwork, and not all mouse themes!

Alisa--
The only thing I know about this is that it is a woman in the San Francisco
area. A friend of mine worked for her for a while, helping make the tiles.
I'll see if I can find out more. My friend just had a baby and is kind of
incommunicado....but I'll ask..
Sandy
