Hello,

Using MATRIX is great. In the recipe to formulae area of MATRIX will incl=
ude
Weight% to Mole% when desired by activating it. The default is weight % s=
ince
that is the most often used. (V4.0) is the one you will see this feature =
on.
Now everyone can have their cake and eat it too! A limit graph is also
included so you can see where you stand prior to printing or saving the
information. (Great company support!)

I also find great use in locking a recipe while entering a new one for
comparisons. This tool is intuitive programmed for users and has many fea=
tures
that most glaze fans will love. Line blends and all!

Adding your own data is easy as 1.2.3. like the 1.2.3.4. glaze issues I h=
ave
discussed in the past. 4 materials for a ^6 glaze. Stable materials since=
they
are QC'd by the companies. Frit versions where we know the values are mos=
t
often close if not dead right on. (Company up-dates can be had by going
on-line or e.mailing them. Ferro has their frit analysis available to any=
one
willing to go there) Others do the same most times!
However a break-down of these 4 materials I am fond of using will give yo=
u a
complex make-up as do most fritted materials with additions of other mate=
rials
and oxide colorants. (I done a break-down in another article I posted). I=
must
note that not all glazes can be made simple. I added that to let those wh=
o are
just approaching glaze technology and software know that they are still
options for making your own glazes work by calculations software and know=
ing
the materials. Study their properties and make adjustments that fall with=
in
limits. (No massive under-taking is required)

Test them at your leisure and then lab test them if you want to go with f=
ood
service stability/quality. It almost like magic! I have break-downs on ma=
ny
materials should you need to make comparisons. However I am known to use
averages as well. I suspect that is about normal for most glaze formulato=
rs
and software users? If not, I am certian I will soon find out.

I have no financial involvement nor gains to be made by the summation abo=
ve
that I am aware of. (I could only wish) I am just a satisfied customer
enjoying the toys I like best. Now my brain can rest while the software r=
uns
the test.

Alchemy 101 - Picture your glaze recipe in living color along with the
formulation. It is another feature with matrix that you'll enjoy. Did I
mention its almost like magic?
