Dear Rachel,
A story to encourage you to try the old kiln,

The 30 year old kiln I was offered for free if I could get it moved (260 =
ltr. and 1500 lbs.) was not at all in working status. I was so =
dissapointed when I saw the clunker and knew that it was mine because I =
had paid the moving company with their crane on the truck. I followed =
the truck home, got it through the wall I had to break down, rebuilt the =
wall, rebuilt the kiln (Claus man is an electrician so that is a great =
plus), fired it, saw it hang up at 900c a few times, bloated pots,
replace elements, replace switches, mortar bricks, oh and during all =
this somewhere inbetween I got out of my free kiln enough good pots to =
start my little pot shop and today the kiln is humming. Sagging still =
but humming.

Like kissing the frog. Pretty cheap date!
Hope you and your kiln are a great success,
Best regards,
Alisa in Denmark
