Clayarters and Artists:

I am in the process of designing a program for artists who have
vision-impairments and who would benefit from a variety of art-related support
services. I am unaware that anything like this is currently being
done. But if you know of similar programs, please let me know.

I envision this as an international program, cooperatively run by
artistic and business interests. Goals would include: removing
physical barriers that prevent artistic expressions, establishing a
safety net for working artists whose vision suddenly changes and begins to
effect their work and prevents artist growth, education for public school art
teachers of students with special needs, etc. I
anticipate participation by galleries, art
camps, art schools and will be supported by financial and
business elements.

My thinking at the moment is that we would focus, at least initially, with
WORKING ADULT artists. How and why is open to debate.

Since the idea is still in it's embryo stage, I would appreciate your
input, questions, comments.
