Miriam,
If the underglazes work for you over your base glaze that is fine,
provided it is not a surface which comes into contact with food. Amaco
warns users that in order to be food safe the underglaze has to be covered
with a glaze. Mia in ABQ

In re: Amaco Underglazes..I use the Purple at the
present time for my line of stoneware with grapes.. I
use it OVER the cone 6 base glaze...Works
beautifully!!.
Yes, I do know how to properly apply it, but tried
this & it works!! I don't argue with success...
